We had only imagined our life together,
Little did I know we would be husband and wife very soon,
After tying the knot,
We have been happily experiencing life together,
No less than any roller coaster,
Our initial "newly married couple" phase,
Had been the toughest,
Where my wife,
First faced separation anxiety.
Over the years,
We had to adjust, accomodate and thankfully everything fell in place,
Soon enough, we were delighted to be welcoming "our mini me's",
Even better was when we got to know we would be parents to twin girls!
This time, I felt a certain kind of separation anxiety,
Although my wife was pregnant and since she carried our girls,
I felt aloof from them as a whole.
But little did I know,
After the girls were born,
My wife too felt a little separation anxiety.
Years have passed by,
Our girls are teenagers today,
But somewhere, yet again and still today in their lives,
The both of them- usually addressed as one,
Living life "together",
Have been struggling to try to live and lead "individual lives"
Today, thet are identified as two different mature adults,
Two separate people,
Still facing separation anxiety.
For all those who don't know,
Separation anxiety usually takes place when,
A person is afraid of being separated from their loved ones,
Usually taking place with children who are separated from their mothers.
If you practically go to see,
Separation anxiety takes place with you also,
You are always going to feel the "pressure" of separation from your loved ones,
Hence this is not just true with children alone!
If you noticed,
These were a few stages (mostly in the lives of women) who feel that kind of pressure,
At the end of the day,
Love, patience, acceptance and the feeling of "together"
Always finds its way out!
