What's my relationship with you?

Human beings are funnily unique,

Our mannerisms, thoughts and ideas are unusual,

No two people are the same,

Yet somewhere human beings pass off as social animals,

Craving for social interaction, validation and just need people!

However unique, different and apart we are,

Two people come together to form a relationship


Embracing differences,

Adjusting to individualities,

Understanding each other,

Creating a space for growth,

Validating to evolve from the past,

Two people come together to form a relationship


Relationships sounds super fancy?

Relationships sound like they're important,

Friends, family, lover, what else?

Two people come together to form a relationship,

Just like that, I wonder,

What's my relationship with you?


There are some people I've fought for,

There are some who fought back for me,

There are some with whom giving up felt like the only option available,

Yet somewhere sticking by is what we chose,

Relationships: the work of two people,

Doesn't need a binding force,

Doesn't need a confirmation of their existence,

Won't probably require talking everyday,

And just like that two people will still form a relationship! 


There are some who have been there for the good times,

There are some who have seen the bad times with you,

Somewhere someone is rooting for you,

Somewhere someone has you in their heart,

Scarred relationships see the work of two,

Need the effort of two,

Anger takes time, hatred takes a while,

Forgiving takes time, forgetting takes a while,

But at the end of the day,

It's the magic of what you create,

The sparkle you have within you,

The energy you have and give,

The "true good times" always remain!


What's my relationship with you?

Where are we right now?

Where will we be in a few years?

I'm sure time will tell,

Time will change everything

And surely one day,

Time heals everything,

We will be stupid if we wait for the right time,

Because truly no moment is the right one,

It's the work of two that will ever make it right!

 Three years later, Here I am, Sharing with my world, a piece of my world, Presenting to you, Perception- A Collection of Poems! Yes, you heard it right, I published a book!
