The C's in my life

At every stage in life,

With every passing day,

We are faced with problems, 

Nothing new right? 

Absolutely not, because everyday we are supposed to be looking for solutions! 

This isn't sounding as difficult as yet,

You must wait and watch out for,

The C's in my life.


Let's start quickly with the big C that everyone wants,

Leading the life that we have only dreamt of,

Working hard to earn that little extra money to do everything special, 

Struggling sometimes to make ends meet,

Meet this C in my life,

Yes, I am talking about Comfort. 

Who doesn't aim for it?


Wait wait wait, 

We have just started...

Coming up next is a big C, 

The one which no one wants to do,

Atleast, we don't dream of living like that,

Dire circumstances in life will only tell,

This is the last C for you if you are programmed to love and live in comfort. 

If you are on track with me, 

You've got this C in my life right! 

It's Compromise. 


Now that you're here, 

Reading this little piece till here, 

Let me remind you,

Atleast in everyone's lives,

We have been given many opportunities, 

And of course, we have been tried and tested many a times, 

And for me, this very C of my life is so important,

The big C of my life is choice. 

Yes, it's a crucial part of who I am today. 

All of us are allowed to make many concious choices, 

But at the end of the day,

It's completely upto us, 

To make any C, the big C of our lives.


The difference between the C's in my life are quite simple,

What I do with them ultimately is my decision, 

How I define these aspects of life or how these aspects define me will be my "choice"

You would think,

Oh well done! Like I didn't know this!

But at the end of the day, 

Aren't we all just struggling to find out,

What the C's in life would really mean?
